One Punch Man anime and manga series is one of the series that love by a lot of fans by its comedic adventure hero life of Saitama, the protagonist of the story. The story was written ONE and illustrated by Yusuke Murata along with his magnificent artworks.
The series was originally based from WebComic , where the story revolves around the powerful protagonist that decided to live a hero life for fun and especially, to earn money. Hero rankings in Hero Association was separated from 3 categories, Class A,B,C and especially Class S, where extraordinary heroes belong.
In spite of Saitama being a omnipotent hero, Saitama was placed in one of the lowest rank in the series for his fail mark. Hero Rank: Class S Rank 14
Genos is the deuteragonist of the series and one of the most powerful Class S heroes in Hero Association. Furthermore, Genos was the first one who saw how powerful Saitama is when they first met during the mosquito incident.
Later on, Genos became Saitama’s disciple after he saw Saitama’s strength, knowing the fact that he was seeking for power to avenge his family and friends who were murdered. Genos was arrogant and haughty back then, but everything changed when he met Saitama mainly when Genos was about to self-destruct from Mosquito Girl yet was luckily saved by him.
Genos is a living evidence of loyalty especially from Saitama no matter what the situation. In spite of being new to Hero Association, Genos was instantly categorized as Class S, where extraordinary heroes resides. What makes Genos so powerful isn’t just because of his cyborg body but also because of his genius engineer, Dr. Kuseno that upgrade his body every time it got destroyed. Genos was promoted as Rank 14 in Class S heroes in just a short period of time, showing how capable truly he is. After the war against Monster Association, Genos could be considered belong to one of the top 10 strongest heroes mainly after he fought Psykos, Orochi and numbers of Dragon Rank Monsters along with Tatsumaki.
Hero Rank: Class S Rank 3
Bang or mostly known as ‘Silver Fang’ is the Rank no. 3 Class S hero of Hero Association and the considered as one of the strongest characters throughout the whole series.
Despite of being an old man, Bang can literally still fight against powerful monsters especially during the war against Monster Association. Overgrown Rover, Fuhrer Ugly, Elder Centipede, and many other Dragon Level monsters was all confronted by Bang and was lucky enough to survived from him, knowing the fact that they were on monsters territory.
What makes Bang special is unlike any other heroes, Bang doesn’t have any super powers nor technologies but only pure knowledge especially on his own martial art, Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist that was made especially for counter attacks. Bang once had a numbers of students and one of them was Garou. Garou once became a God-like being along with Bang’s WSRMF, showing how powerful terrifying Bang’s teachings and capabilities.
Bang saw Saitama’s strength when Saitama saved the whole city from total destruction, to the way that Bang, Genos, and Metal Knight had nothing to do with it. After he saw how powerful Saitama, Bang tried to invite him and become his student, but Saitama refused.
Hero Rank: Class S Rank 8
Zombieman is one of the Class S Heroes in Hero Association and one of the most skilled heroes when it comes to weaponries.
Among the Class S Heroes, Zombieman classified as weakest when it comes to hand-to-hand combat knowing the fact that he is indeed a zombie and not a human. Being incapable of hand-to-hand combat because of him being a zombie, it is also the main reason for him being a Class S hero.
What makes him being remarkable as Class S hero is his ability to regenerate any forms of severe damage, making him almost immortal. Homeless Emperor, one of the Executives in Hero Association fought him and turned Zombie Man into ashes, yet he can still regenerate, showing how indestructible he is.
During the war raid against Monster Association, every heroes especially Class S Heroes was knocked down by Monster Garou, making them all immobilized. But, everything changed when Saitama appeared to take Monster Garou down on his own. During the battle of Garou and Saitama, Zombie Man was still conscious enough to watch their battle unlike the other heroes, knowing the fact that he has a intense regeneration. Because of that he saw how Saitama easily defeated Garou with his own eyes.
Witnessing Saitama’s strength, Zombieman went to Dr. Genus, the one who created him to asked how to break one’s limiter, just like what he happened to Saitama.

Hero Rank: Class S Rank 6
Bofoi or mostly known as ‘Metal Knight’ is one of the mysterious characters in the series. Metal Knight is the Rank 6 Class S Hero in Hero Association and could be considered as smartest hero when it comes to technologies.
Metal Knight has a huge contribution to Hero Association knowing the fact that almost all the technologies they use were made by him especially their headquarters. Also, he was the one who taught the genius prodigy and the brain of Class S, Child Emperor everything about technologies and engineering at a young age.
Just like Bang, Metal Knight first met Saitama during the destruction of City Z by punching the meteor into pieces. In spite of that, it wasn’t stated if he truly saw Saitama because he was just controlling his robots with the help of monitors from far away.
A lot of theories suggested that Bofoi truly is a villain and just using the Hero Association to his future plans, knowing how genius he is.
The time he truly realized Saitama’s true strength was when he saw how Saitama destroyed all of his advanced robots he built as a security, which was worth billions per pieces. Because of that, Bofoi started to research about the bald guy who destroyed all of his creations.
6. Amai Mask
Hero Rank: Class A Rank 1
Amai Mask is one of the strongest heroes in Hero Association in spite of being in Class A. Just like Tatsumaki, Amai Mask known for his arrogant and smug attitude towards all the heroes below him. Knowing his cruel attitude, Amai Mask remain in Class A for a certain reason.
When a Hero Association offer a promotion, they have a choice to remain in their rank or to rank up, yet Amai Mask chose to remain in Class A in order to stop weaklings for promoting, knowing that he is the Rank 1 in Class A. In order for everyone to get in Class S Rank, everyone must surpassed him first.
Amai Mask’s abilities are considered Class S, to the way that he could beat Puri-Puri-Prisoner, Tank Top Master and other members of Class A if he wants to. Amai Mask possess extraordinary superhuman strength, speed, reflexes and such things and especially he can use his arms like a sharp blade.
Amai Mask witnessed how Saitama defeated Garou just like Zombieman. He also asked Saitama to let him kill Garou for all the things he had done, yet Saitama refused and let Bang do the rest, knowing the fact that Garou was his former student. Regardless of how powerful and popular Amai Mask, his full capabilities are still mystery to everyone knowing that he has a massive secret that he doesn’t want anyone to know. When one know his secret, he will kill you without hesitation.
5. Flashy Flash
Hero Rank: Class S Rank 13
The Rank 13 Class S Hero, Flashy Flash is could be considered as fastest hero among Class S. His abilities is very similar to Sonic, the self-proclaimed rival of Saitama. Flashy Flash and Sonic knew each other since they were kid, knowing that they were attended the same academy back then, yet was separated by having different goals. Because of that, Flashy Flash became a hero and Sonic became an outlaw.
During the war against Monster Association underground, Flashy Flash attempted to Kill Saitama thinking that he was a monster, yet he was shocked of how Saitama coul easily dodged all of his attacks.
Just like Boros and Orochi, Flashy Flash instincly tell that there’s something abnormal to Saitama but doesn’t know about his God-like strength. Among all the members of S Class, Flashy Flash was with Saitama most the time, making him aware of how powerful he is when they teamed up underground.
What surprised Flashy Flash the most was Saitama’s speed that could literally match him, knowing the fact that he could be considered as fastest among all the heroes. During their time underground, Flashy Flash and Saitama killed countless of monsters that totally astonished Flashy Flash.
The most interesting part was Flashy Flash invited Saitama to be his apprentice and teach him anything about his incredible speed, yet without hesitation, Saitama refused. Flashy Flash made an agreement with Saitama that if he lose against him, he will be his student but Flashy Flash was defeated easily by him(webcomic).
Hero Rank: Class S Rank 7
One of the Class S heroes and considered as the strongest man on Earth, King. King is the Rank 7 in Hero Association and honored by everyone because of his immense power, to the way that even Tatsumaki, who always underestimate everyone got her respect.
Other than Saitama, King is one of the humorous characters in the series knowing that he was placed in Class S mistakenly. King truly has no special powers or even superhuman strength just like what people think of him. Knowing Saitama who kill monsters for fun, King accidentally took all the credit, making him placed in Class S without any notice.
King is known for his ‘King Engine’, which is the mysterious sound that everyone heard everytime King appeared. Little did they know, it’s just his heart pumping out loud because of nervousness. Regardless of that, Saitama was the first one discovered his secret and also, King saw how powerful Saitama when he tried to save him in his apartment. At the end of season 2, Saitama killed the Elder Centipede with just one punch in front of him, making him truly aware of Saitama’s power.
Hero Rank: Class B Rank 1
Fubuki is one of the few characters in the series that has psychokinesis ability, just like her sister, Tatsumaki. Fubuki is part of Class B heroes along with her own group, which they called as ‘Fubuki Group.
In spite of having a psychokinesis ability, Fubuki remain in Class B knowing the fact that compare to her sister, she’s nothing but a normal hero. Fubuki was introduced in Season 2 when she tried to invite Saitama to her group in order for Saitama to rank up, yet Saitama refused, just like any other offers to him. Because of that, Fubuki tried to fight Saitama but she lost.
Fubuki still wasn’t convinced how she was completely overwhelmed by Saitama but when she saw how he defeated Sonic, which she determined as Class S level, Fubuki acknowledged Saitama’s strength and wondered if she could be like him. What surprised her the most was his relations to powerful heroes like Bang, the Rank 3 hero, King, the strongest man on Earth, and especially Genos, which is his student. Later on, Fubuki wanted to join their group after she failed to convinced them all to her own group, which is Fubuki’s Group that full of Class B heroes.
In the WebComic, Fubuki saw how powerful Saitama when Tatsumaki can’t do anything in order to beat Saitama, knowing that Fubuki thought that her sister was indestructible.
Garou isn’t a hero but wanted to become a hero yet turned into a villain, thinking that the path of villain is much more easier than a hero. Garou could be considered as one of the strongest characters throughout the whole series, knowing that he became a God-like entity after he became a complete monster.
During the war against the Monster Association, Garou unexpectedly appeared in front of everyone along with his God-like power. Showing how powerful he was, Garou completely overwhelmed every Class S heroes and even all the monsters on the field. Because of that, Saitama was the only capable of beating him, which started of their battle.
Regardless his newly acquired power, Garou still wasn’t comparable to Saitama, which was the caused of his lost. Garou is one of the few characters who survived Saitama’s punched, showing how powerful he truly became as a monster.
Hero Rank: Class S Rank 2
Tatsumaki is one of the strongest hero in the series and considered as the strongest Esper. She is the no. 2 hero and known as ‘Tornado of Terror’ knowing the fact that no one can even escape from his God-like psychokinesis ability.
Showing how powerful she is, Tatsumaki could be considered as God Disaster Level if she become a villain, knowing how she lifted the whole city and tons of boulders during the war against Monster Association all by herself. Tatsumaki often mistaken as a kid because of her childish appearance, furthermore her childish personality when if fact she’s already 28. Unlike any other heroes, Tatsumaki know Blast the most regardless of him being a mystery hero, knowing the fact that they already met 18 years ago that pushed her to become a hero.
Tatsumaki promised to Blast she will protect her little sister, no matter the situation. Because of that, Tatsumaki became overprotective and hated by Fubuki. Knowing how protective her especially when it comes to Fubuki, Tatsumaki overdid it in front of Saitama, which resulted of him protecting Fubuki. Because of this, Tatsumaki fought Saitama without any hesitation.
In spite of the battle being one sided, Tatsumaki cannot do anything to hurt Saitama in any way, to the way that she tried to lift Saitama with her Psychokinesis, yet was miserably failed. Knowing how arrogant she is, she didn’t acknowledge Saitama’s power regardless of everything, thinking that she was just exhausted because of her head injuries that limits her power.
